This fills the mobs debuff slots so other player's spells can't land. The issue necros have (which is a big part of why every other dot class is getting revamped) is on upper level raiding they are using 10+ gem slots to cast dots and them memming a second set to cast more dots.

A nuanced rotation will take into account different durations so that you apply dots 1-6 in order and they fall off in the same order (as an example). Dots in the same line mostly stack so you cast the hardest hitting ones first (generally) and lay on enough dots to kill the mob. Level 111 Spells: Minor Bloodmarked Velium Gem.
